Toiya Sosa is an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and award-winning Public Affairs and Community Relations Manager who has built and maintained relationships with over 40 non-profit organizations across the states of Virginia and North Carolina. Since 2005, she has managed a fortune 500 company's regional philanthropic foundation and community outreach program, investing in the community, interfacing with local government officials and the media, and managing team leaders to engage over 2,400 employees in community service. Sosa is founder and CEO of Young Bold and Beautiful In Business, a non-profit organization that inspires entrepreneurship for women with a reach of over 650,000 people countrywide. She is also founder and President of United Council For Equality, the social empowerment arm of Young Bold and Beautiful In Business that promotes equality for all. Sosa has a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Journalism, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

 

Sosa has been honored by the National Urban League as the 2011 Eastern Region Young Professional of the Year, Inside Business Magazine as a 2011 Top 40 Under 40, and Marriott International as a 2013 Distinguished Young Professional. Sosa has served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of South Hampton Roads Women’s Leadership Council, the Executive Board of the Urban League of Hampton Roads Young Professionals, Chairperson of the Urban League of Hampton Roads “Act Now” Series, and the Advisory Boards for VirginiaFIRST, Teens With a Purpose, and the United Negro College Fund. Sosa now serves on the board of the YWCA of South Hampton Roads and the Urban League of Hampton Roads.
